In regards to a trailer wheel and tire assembly, the psi rating comes from the trailer tire and valve stem. Therefore, if the psi rating of the valve stem exceeds that of the trailer tire you will not have any issues. The trailer wheel itself does not have any sort of psi rating. In order to choose the correct replacement or upgraded equalizer for a trailer you must first measure the equalizer you have now and then compare this to the replacement/upgrade. Towing capacities are pretty hard and fast. You don't get to add 30 percent to the total capacity if you are using a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch.
